Ya, well as long as you dont camp in MY spot, park your truck in MY spot, glass MY landing, hike up MY trail then all is good.... :chuckle:

EW Rifle season is essentially draw only right now.  Finding spikes in November is a needle in a haystack proposition.  :chuckle:

Yep, and I'd be fine with a draw for all the current amount of branch bulls and a notional % of spike tags that are currently bought, say 50%. Just to keep hordes and hordes of *censored*es who go out for a walk in the woods with a gun and keep the serious hunters from getting camping spots, running into the pumpkin patch, etc.

Do people out there really choose where they hunt based on pictures and GMU #s from this site :dunno: Hard to believe...

 +1

Part of sharing is simply it being nice to know where animals come from. But, c'est la vie. If someone wants to withhold the information I guess that's there perogative. I'm just glad the OP opened the door for me to make fun of 'em for doing so  :chuckle:

Exactly what I was thinking earlier today but I refrained from saying such a thing as it usually doesn't go over very well.   :chuckle:

I'm glad someone on here exercises discretion  :chuckle:

As I said... "entitlement mentality." The WDFW and wolves are not all to blame for the lack of quality hunting in Washington.  :twocents:

I can't imagine experienced hunters doing that.  But the folks who are new to hunting or who don't see many animals in their usual spot would certainly be scouting for whatever location information they can glean here as part of their research so they can be more successful.  It's human nature and I don't think there is anything wrong with that.  I'm not in a hurry to share specifics about where I hunt.  If other folks want to do that that's up to them.  (But don't do it if you hunt where I do ;) ). :twocents:

I wasn't going to post on this thread but against my better judgement I am going to. I haven't seen or can recall posts that give exact locations to where somebody shot their elk. Most of what I have seen is GMU or area, such as Blewett Pass or something. If that is giving away a spot then I am the easter bunny. Goldtip made a good point that even if I told you exactly where I shot one, doesn't mean there is going to be another there or within a mile of there. I think it comes down to we all want to get an animal so bad that we let it get under our skin and let petty little things bother us...  :twocents:

No thongs since i lost mine at the rainbow gathering, i have not found a suitable replacement (all too big) and need to just take the time and knit myself one.. Dang it the gun out the window trick is my go to method, dont post it now everybody will do it.

So from this post i have learned that when i post a pic of a kill i will photoshop some obvious well known feature into it and give pretty good indicators of were i am.....or is it really were i was????
To hunt and butcher an animal is to recognize that meat is not some abstract form of protein that springs into existence tightly wrapped in cellophane and styrofoam.

My I suggest hemp if you are knitting your own. I find that once you get over the initial "scuffing" it can be quite comfortable.

You may, however, it is ill advised. See the bag balm initially soaks into the fibers which in turn make it soft and pliable. However, it soon begins to absorb oder, sweat, and shall we say "material". You then have to add more to counteract the problem which as you can imagine simply compounds the problem, then you add more and so on. It gets ugly after that.

guys I am thinking maybe just forgo the thong and hunt naked  :dunno:....seems like it might be easier definitely be cheaper  :dunno: no knitting or weaving involved ...less chafing and then deciding which product to use to counter the chafing ....still cannot believe we had that thread :chuckle:

Oh Run....to bad you are all the way in eburg. A while back you and I chatted during my thread regarding all the bacon products I could wear during bear season. You seemed enamored with my prowess in finding bacon deodorant, mints, that kind of stuff. Now, you suggest this. My problem will be finding enough camo body paint to cover myslef. I'm very pale you know.
