If we make this happen we will have some very interesting thread topics.

Example:

Albino ex-athelete hairless sasquatch with body paint seen........scent of bacon lingered at site upon further exploration, no sign of the albino creature.

I don't think posting where you shot an animal hurts.  I have never used the info on here to get my animal but I have figured out how busy the area we are hunting this year will be and can be better prepared for that.  I'm also glad a friend used the info I gave him to put in for his elk and he was "selected" and is hunting as we speak.  I hope he gets an extremely nice elk with his bow.  I enjoy taking people and introducing them to hunting even if it means giving away a spot I hunt in order to get them out there.  We need more hunters to help fight for our rights.

Well, I for one think you guys are way off base here.  I mean, for example, I have no problem at all directing people to the Colockum for elk hunting.

I mean, there are THOUSANDS of big bulls in there, and I think the last I heard spike bulls made up about 40% of the overall population.
If you are a new elk hunter, then you should go hunt the Colockum.  If you are putting in for a special draw quality bull permit, you should put in for the Colockum.  Cow Tags?  Colockum's got jillions of them.  If you are thinking of giving muzzleloader or bow hunting a try for the first time, you should hunt the Colockum.  If you get drawn for the Incentive Tag or the Raffle Tag, I would spend 99.999999% of my time in the Colockum.  Governor's Tag?  If I were Doyle Moss, I'd bring my high-dollar-dude into the Colockum.
Listen, if I were greedy, or didn't think there were enough elk to go around, I would do this, but c'mon... It's like an elk-zoo in there....
Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes.  That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

Nothing better than complaining about people on Internet sites giving out info.... On an Internet hunting site.

Ya, well as long as you dont camp in MY spot, park your truck in MY spot, glass MY landing, hike up MY trail then all is good.... :chuckle:

He forgot "Steel my thong off the clothes line" and "Come around the corner and ruin the shot I've got lined up out the truck window"
No thongs since i lost mine at the rainbow gathering, i have not found a suitable replacement (all too big) and need to just take the time and knit myself one.. Dang it the gun out the window trick is my go to method, dont post it now everybody will do it.

So from this post i have learned that when i post a pic of a kill i will photoshop some obvious well known feature into it and give pretty good indicators of were i am.....or is it really were i was????

I sense a Devils Tower sighting in the near future.   :chuckle:

colockum is gonna send his black helicopters after you...you know he has the elk all penned behind a high fence in there....now you are gonna send everyone in there and he is gonna need more bigfoots to keep them out ....his bigfoot army will just keep growing at this rate

Thank you for reminding us all why Washington should go to draw only for elk.

Exactly what I was thinking earlier today but I refrained from saying such a thing as it usually doesn't go over very well.   :chuckle:

I agree as well.  Draw only for the entire state for bulls.  Then open up over the counter cow tags for specific units.

may as well of course it will kill any chance for someone like me ever hunting elk...but all the trophy hunters would be happier with that system from the way I understand it  :dunno:  I dunno when it gets this restricted it starts feeling real monarchy european royalty wealthy land baronish and not very American  :dunno:

11"21' North latitude and 142" 12' East longitude, or 90° North latitude 142 East Longitude. not hunting either spot this year, anyone that wants go ahead a punch it in your GPS and hit the road. GPS might take you through some pretty rough terrain to get there but trust me to me it is worth the trip for you to go. this is the last pic i got.

All I know about hunting the east side is that I will never do it.  Unless of course I draw the multi-season elk permit and manage to draw a tag for branched bulls.  As far as the west side goes, there is no reason in my opinion that a person shouldn't be able to kill a bull once every couple years in any general season western WA unit.  Elk hunting is tough, that's why so many people revel elk hunting over deer hunting.  It's more of an accomplishment if you kill a bull than almost any buck.  Put the work in and the hunting really isn't that hard.  There's no reason for a permit only elk season unless you want essentially a guaranteed kill like in the Toutle unit.   :bdid:

If you want a good chance at an elk, put the work in.  Don't screw the guys that do work hard and get bulls nearly every year by pushing for permit only because you don't work hard enough to harvest one.  Sorry, that's the honest truth in my opinion.  :twocents:

And this post is in no way directed at you personally TheHunt, just the mentality of permit only elk hunting in general.
