Tree stands, Can they be home made?
« on: September 18, 2011, 04:48:52 PM »
I was curious,
Im not made of money as Im sure alot of us here have the monetarily challenged degree,... :chuckle:

I was curious, if it possible to build you own tree stand? Like a really high up one.
I have an old plumbers rack from a toyota I could hack up and re-weld together if I knew the basics of how they worked. Ive just never seen one in person.

Or if anyone knows anybody not using one, Id be willing to trade something for one.  I do have an extra 5K generator Im not using that needs the carb cleaned, otherwise it seems to work fine.

Any thoughts?

Lots of info online about it. Just google 'home made tree stand' That should get you an idea. It can be very simple just make sure it's stout!

I'll give you mine. Dang things are so uncomfortable. I need to get new ones....self climbers and ones with a lazyboy for a seat. I sit in mine for 2 hours and my arse is numb for another 2 hours.
