Well I have a problem. I have roughly 1400 sound files for my Foxpro with absolutely no organization. Currently they are all on one long list organized alphabetically but that is not really helping. For example coyote pup sounds may be labeled as "young coyote, pup distress, coyote pup" trying to find them in a group of 1400 is like a needle in a haystack when I cannot remember how they were labeled. To add to the confusion some sounds have numbers in front of them while others do not. I have tried to place everything into separate folders. Such as one folder for coyote sounds, one for woodpecker sounds, one for rabbit sounds etc. However when I go to reprogram the caller it will not retrieve the files from the separate folders. Even though the folders are just sub groups under C:/FOXPRO/SOUNDS.
Anyone have any recommendations on how you organize your sound libraries? There has to be a way to get this cleaned up so that it's easy to find the sounds or groups of sounds I'm looking for. I have started to go through and rename all of the sounds so that they will group together alphabetically but at the rate I'm going that will take a few months. Thanks.
