My Momma's blackie
« on: September 18, 2011, 06:17:17 PM »
me and my mom have been watching this buck since the beginning of velvet. he grew into a mature two point. we watched him grow and grow adding on the poundage. we werent sure during velvet if his body would fill the freezer. then he started packing on the weight. he dissapeared for the last three weeks. she headed out this morning hoping to run across him. when she was soaked from her toes to her noes she was just about to call it a day when he came trotting out into the clearing. when he stopped quartering towards her.  she range find him at 26 yards let the arrow fly! she double lunged him running no farther than 60 yards dropping in his tracks. real nice buck for a second deer. he weighed 145 pounds hanging without the front legs. :IBCOOL: :IBCOOL: :IBCOOL:
