I pretty sure your dad can get one without paying for it.

It's DISCOVER pass-  not "discovery".

Here is a map that shows where you need it. Everything in green requires the pass.

YOU ARE WELCOME! People keep calling it that. You're not the only one.

Oh, and I wouldn't call that "grammar". It's just that you don't know the correct name for the pass.

The map does help. If you look at the legend, it shows the green areas are "recreation areas". All DNR recreation areas require the Discover Pass.

You might wait and see if they have it posted. If there are no signs saying the pass is required, then you don't need it. But you don't want to make a special trip down there just to find out. Maybe someone who's been hunting down there can let us know if they saw the signs.

To even have this discussion makes me quite angry.  Why should we have to pay to go onto our property, just so the Olympia maggots have more money to spend.  It is just a cash cow.  I will not buy any of them, including the ones from the fish and lame department.  We all need to write letters and vote vote out the pus pockets that don't see it our way.  They make me sick.

I don't have a problem with paying $30.00 or whatever for the pass... It's good for a entire year and good for all the state parks too for day use. So it's really not a big deal. It's better than jacking up license plate fees and hunting and fishing license fees. Don't buy one and get caught without one and pay even a bigger fine... $109.00 Fine VS. a $30.00 permit. Hmmmm?? What would you do?

If they want to charge for parks, I have no problem.  To park and hunt public state lands, and have to have it, with that I have a problem.  Also you might check, but I believe this September a bunch of fish & lame dept items go up.

It's just the idea of paying more all the time. Tack this on top of the Forest Pass (30.00) for hiking, parking, etc. on National Forest land, raising the license and tags fees, high fuel costs and a crappy economy and it tends to piss people off.
Can't we all just get along?
