When killing animals with arrows I don't look at it so much as "losing" them but rather as "using" them.  If the carbon doesn't fly then the game doesn't die.  When ethical shots are presented of course!

I lost one opening weekend of elk up at the Ape Caves :bash:. If anyone finds a Carbon express Mayhem Hunter with a T-lock broad head let me know  :)

2 actually

1 cause I got tired and pulled the shot, it flew off into the woods after bouncing off the sand a couple times and I never found it. :bash:

the other was lost cause I was trying to show off and missed the target just barley at about 50 yards. Unfortunately it bounced right into nasty thick cover and I never found it either. :bash:

I gave myself about 70 yards worth of open shooting so that wouldent happen. its amazing how far those suckers can go after bouncing, on sand no less.

luckley they where my "cheap" arrows at about $5 a pop...LAME

If you aren't losing arrows then you aren't loosing enough!  Part of archery is the annual purchase of new arrows.

This year i have donated 4 the first 2 fell out of my quiver during a 6 hr elk scout, so i went and bought 2 more, 1 of which fell out the next day,  >:( , i got back to camp and rigged a retainer out of para cord to last til i got home, i desided a new quiver was in order. Then during target shooting i lost 1 more, leaving me with a very un happy wife since i buy goldtips and g5 montecs. Leaving me down about $20 per arrow.
