I just gotta say thanks again for helping me attempt to kill a big bull....You the man and I know you will never let me live this season down

NP came up and called in or should I say "guided" me on a great journey this elk season. My season started as a wreck (that is a thread all its own) and he made it the fantastic hunt it turned out to be. Even though I did not kill an elk, it was the best elk season of my life, and I learned so much from him on the days we spent together chasing elk.
Opening day that evening he got us in to a great 5 point but he hung up and would not show it's self. We hunted this bull a few more times but he did not want to come out and play, he always shut up and stayed in the thickets of the dark timber, but when I did see him, he was a dandy that's for sure.
Over the first three days of the season he took me out and taught me a whole lot about hunting bulls. i learned more from him in three days then I have the last 10 years of elk hunting. I took what I learned and used it to get in to elk most every day, but could not close the deal.
Then last Sat. he joined me again for my hunt. i showed him an area I was in to a decent 5 point but could not get him to come in. He got the bull to come in and the rest of the herd with him. I had so many elk around me I could not move a muscle. One cow was about 10 yards from me staring me in the face. The bull came in last and really never presented its self for a shot, but NP sure a great shot at him, and me

Then he called in another bull on sat. evening but I blew it, I was moving around to much trying to get a good look at him through the trees and and bailed on us. hung up at 60 yards with no shot opportunity

Sunday we had bulls bugling at us in the early hours but shut up as soon as day break came and never were able to locate them good enough to go after them. He did one nice bull to answer the calls sun. but I was skeptical on weather i could physically get to him and back up the ridge in the time frame we had to work with. He could have done it on his own but I did not want to chance it.
Norsepeak, you are the man and a Mt goat all in one

Thanks again, you taught me a lot and I will never forget what I learned form you.
By the way, Robin and Jerry are one hell of great callers, that's for sure. You guys know what it takes to get them bulls.
And I would highly recommend Rugged Class guide service to anyone
