Really, it doesn't take much for folks to get sideways.  Rather than go off hearsay, I would assume any changes to harvest would be reflected in a WDFW commission meeting.  They post the meeting minutes online. It would seem really irrational for that many tags to be issued unless there was a disease threat.

It is very true that they are getting tags and not only for ewes.  I have a friend that is a Muckleshoot and he was drawn for one of the RAM tags.

It's not hearsay if I heard it with my own ears AT the meeting is it?  I heard the words come out of his mouth, "there are 42 tags, 25 ram, and 17 ewe tags being issued to natives because there is an over abundance of sheep in the state"  Why weren't the tags added to the number of tags we get or to the number of tags raffled off?  Very good question.  My guess is that it's becuase we have to play by two different sets of rules.  One set with unlimited rights and very minimal costs, the other with unlimited costs and minimal rights.  You decide where you fit and that should answere your question.

Yup its true the tribe has issued allot of tags but it is almost identical to the amount of tags that the state gives out. Except a few areas. The Tribe draws names for the tags. I am not happy about how many tags the state and the tribe gave out this year I heard it was to reduce the amount of small rams that are doing the breading. lol
I got drawn So I have been out scouting and have saw a few rams some from the rd and some off the rd but have not seen one I would like to kill yet. Any help would be appreciated.

So, does anyone know if there are only certain units the tribe can hunt? Or a certain number of rams that can be taken out of a certain unit? Or can they all pile into one unit?

All different units Tieton, Clem, Yakima Can, Quilamene, and on the rez The tag they drew is only good for one sheep in the area they drew. And you must report it within a certain amount of time and bring it in so they can tag it.

Yak,  Any way you could fill us all in on how many tags each unit got? where could someone find this information?

I think the Game Dept needs to move some of our over populated sheep to new areas.  The Glenwood area has some great country for sheep.  I also think we need to let the public know when issues like this one are happening with tribe.  Its time for all of us to be equal hunters.

Maybe I am missing something. Why are tribal hunters issued sheep tags? Can't they just shoot them anyway, without tags?

Really, maybe a joke for some (tribal members) for us non tribal we probably dont need any "lol" signs.  If you draw a tribal tag for sheep, good luck to you but getting no help here.   If i sound bitter it is because i am to the fullest.
