Bull Moose
« on: September 23, 2011, 03:48:26 PM »
Though I would share a couple photo's of a big bull I saw by my shop today.  Can you believe he's not even a legal bull in my area?  Not enough brow tines or wide enough.

He's just a baby...

Great pics!

Pretty busy up here Jack, with salmon fishing all summer, spring bear, and moose season.  Haven't taken any big game yet but caught 17 salmon.  Hard to believe I've been in AK for a year already.

Too bad, that much meat that close to the freezer is just a crying shame.

He's been in my backyard.  My wife woke up to him thrashing the neighbor's fence, ironically I was out moose hunting an hour north of Anchorage.  Put a quarter size hole in one of the panels and tore off another.

In the GMU I live in,  it's spike or fork on one side, 3 brow tines on one side, or 50" spread.

I work on the military base.  If you're familiar with it, my shop is where the big antenna field is on Ft Rich.
