What brand? I have a camelback and it seems good.

I might suggest getting just a flavored water instead of adding Gatorade or a drink mix. The mixes and sports drinks tend to bleed their taste into Camelbaks.

If you want a good drink mix for a water bottle, try Nuun. They are awesome and delicious little electrolyte tablets that you mix with 16oz of water.

I was getting a funky taste out of mine but I tried soaking it in soapy water over night, rinsed it out really well and that seemed to do the trick. I am gong on a week long hunt in Idaho in two weeks and I plan on filling mine with Powerade.

Wash with hot water and bleech. Rinse very well..........
Been using the same Platapus for 5 years now. I clean it with bleach regularly and the water in it taste just fine.

Cleans it right up

Then you get rid of all the great taste!

Camelbak's always tastes like plastic in my experience, no matter how well you clean it.  Try platypus at REI.  The best I've found.  Easy to clean too...oh try powered gatorade

wal mart has these drink mixes that come in idividually portioned packages that cost like a buck fiddy for 10 of them, took them on my high hunt with me and it was great to have a little flavor mixed into my water since you tend to drink a ton when your out in the wilderness, I had the wild strawberry energy mix and it tasted pretty good for the price. :twocents:
