Congrats on a nice bull. Were they rutting very hard during your hunt? I was in there last weekend and didn't hear a bugle, saw a good 6x6, and he was by himself. It was weird, I figured the rut must be a little late this year.

We got in on Sat. Morning to rain and when the rain let up it was bugles all around. They bugled all night long and were all congregated around the meadow.
I think that cold snap got them going. There was frost on the ground monday night

Got some info this morning about the bull. Biologist said he was 11 years old and was collared in 2003. He said they don't keep data on the bulls only the cows. They use the bulls to help locate the herds.

Wow, I would never have guessed 11 years old. He got to spread some genetics!
