Electronic calls for bears?
« on: September 26, 2011, 11:46:03 AM »
Fairly new to black bear hunting and have thought about an electronic call but could find if they are legal or not in WA.  Are they legal and if so which call do you prefer?

If they are illegal someone needs to post the RCW and the area in the regs.  I think they are legal to use.  Bearmanic would be the person to ask.  That dude is a bear killing machine.

What?  :dunno: Perfectly legal...just don't do it for waterfowl, deer, or turkey. See page 70 in the pamphlet.

I have a FoxPro Spitfire. It works fine. For $200, it's a great "entry level" electronic caller.

I'm not sure where people got the idea that it's not legal to use electronic calls for bears? You can't use bait or dogs. But electronic calls you can use.

Simple, they are going of the states they come from or hersay.  Being the military and in a military community you would be suprised at what people will tell you is legal or not :twocents:

if you are in gig harbor and lookin for a bear go try around the tiger lake area out behind belfair. lots of gates with lots of dark wet places to look and tons of sign.
The only person who has failed is the one who never tried.
