Going out tomorrow in the Yakima/Ellensburg area for Chukar and Quail, has anyone seen any Rattlesnakes still out?

We got one last weekend at our place in Okanogan. Can't speak for the area you asked about but I am betting they are still out there as well.

early morning they will be held up in rocks and holes to stay warm, mid morning look for them on sunny rock faces to get their body temps up, by afternoon they will be on the hunt until temps start dropping in late evening. had a buddy of mine stuck in a porta john for quite awhile around this time a year in yak. everytime he would step it would start buzzing so he was afraid to open the door and make a run for it.

Got back last night from our all day hunt, I did not see any snakes. Things are looking up.

Found one last weekend in the Wenatchee area. Only about 8" long and just a button. I would have stepped on it if it wasn't for my 7 yr old daughter yelling "Snake!"
