Awesome post man.. great story, great hunt.. Congrats!
By my honorable conduct as a hunter let me give a good example and teach new hunters principles of honor, so that each new generation can show respect for their god, other hunters and the animals, and enjoy the dignity of the hunt.

Calling an illegal alien an 'undocumented immigrant' is like calling a drug dealer an 'unlicensed pharmacist'.

Great story and pictures Aaron.  Especially like the one with the yellow jacket.  Damn I miss the days when archery was Oct 1.  Not having to worry about 90 degree days, meat spoilage and insects.  I would have to say, probably due to the profuse number of deer and black flies, the yellow jackets were not a problem for us when we had our two elk down up in gods country.  Glad you got to come home and had a great time with your brother.  I still think the thermal camera on your bird would make a great scouting tool.  Take care of yourself and your family and stay safe if you deploy over the big puddle.

Hey Colockumelk, Very happy you nailed a bull! Sounds like you earned that one! That spike bull is a pair of antlers that are just as much a trophy as the biggest 7x7. Congrats! Fly safe where ever the military sends you!

Great to have you back in WA...temporarily.  Washingtonians can only handle Colockumelk in moderation :chuckle:

Excellent write up and way to get it done "the hard way".  Truthfully, I can't imagine the life of a service man or women who also loves to hunt and be in the outdoors...one of your many sacrifices I'm sure.  It reminds me not to take anything for granted.

Thanks for sharing...and everything else that goes without saying.
