Lost Arrows
« on: September 26, 2011, 10:07:04 PM »
Hey,

I was just wondering how many bow hunters out there have lost arrows while hunting.  I just got back from a turkey trip and managed to lose about $40 in arrows and broadheads.   :bash: :bash:  I

I just hope that I am not alone out there.

I usually "donate" at least one a year while hunting.  If there's grouse involved, often more than one.

Just part of doin' business....  :)

I shoot a long bow and always have a stump/ grouse arrow handy.  And yes I donate 1 or 3 a year.

You bow guys really shouldn't be leaving those sharp little things laying about, someone could get hurt!  :chuckle:

I would always break a few a year while in camp shooting does that count :dunno: It adds up fast when a bare arrow is over $6

I lost two this year after not having lost any for a long while. If you fine 'em, mail 'em to me please!  :chuckle: :chuckle:

Yea,

I lost two carbon express arrows with talon broadheads while hunting for turkey.  One went into tall  grass...I was sure I would never see that one again, and one I shot down a hill, and who knowes where it slid under the short grass... :dunno:

I've lost one... question is how long before the broadhead rusts out and is no longer a hazard.... wouldn't want to step on one!!

Lucked out on my Rosie.... lodged in a tree on the other side... no hunting for it.
Old enough to know better.
Young enough to go for it.

Dose anybody think that it would be better to just get those 3 pack broad heads at Walmart for $10, if I am not going for big game, or do you think that it really effects the flight pattern of the arrow.  All I know is that it would save some serious  :twocents:... :chuckle: :chuckle:
