Columbia boots
« on: September 27, 2011, 12:12:42 PM »
Thinking of picking up a pair of Columbia Boots (http://www.columbia.com/Men%E2%80%99s-Bugaboot%C2%AE-Plus/BM1493,default,pd.html) but am not seeing much feedback on them etc... I wear a size 18 and am going to give the 17s a shot out of desperation for a pair of boots that I won't roll my ankles in.

Has anybody ever worn the Columbia boots? Any opinions or experiences? I'd love a pair of Danners, Kennetrek or others, but can't find them in my size...

HOLY #@$%@%!!!  I think we found big foot!!!! -jk

I thought I had big feet with 13's.  I haven't tried the boots but I had a pair of low rise hikers that I wore out.  They were well constructed.  After about 5 years of wear the fabric on the toes started to fail, the rubber on the sole was worn thin and starting to show holes.  Didn't have any stitching or lamination/glueing problems.

Boots arrived today and thankfully they fit rather well. Time to wear them around a bit. If you see somebody walking around Kent wearing shorts and hunting boots, that's me, heh...

I'll report back when I know how well they perform out in the woods etc...
