I did exactly what Sabotloader did in his photos and now I can shoot the eye out of a fly at 100yrds. I however had a problem with my front sight hood, it fell off today. Should I put some kind of lok-tight on it before sliding it in place?

Thank you Sabotloader for all the help!

Remove the hood wrap it in a piece of leather or cloth - then with pliers squeeze the open end just a bit to make it a tight fit.  Make sure you can still start it in the slots you nay have to use a screw driver blade insterted in the hood slot as a wedge to open the slot a bit to get it started.... Then I put red lock tight in the ramp slots on both sides and tapped the hood on.  Wipe the excess lock-tight off and store the gun level and horizontal for a few hours - should be good to go then...

Keep shooting muzzleloaders - They are a blast!!
