Firearm restriction question

Maybe it was a copper slug. Why do you say that iceman? Are lead slugs not allowed either?

You are not supposed to carry any lead shotgun shells into a duck hunt...

I know you can't have lead shot shells, but wasn't sure about slugs. Never really read that you couldn't have lead slugs but maybe I just don't pay enough attention.

Aside from the firearm restriction boundary question, the way I read it (I've been wondering about this) is that since the Snoqualmie Wildlife Area (all units) is in a "Nontoxic Shot Zone" (p.22 of upland/waterfowl regs), then a slug, lead or otherwise, would be legal for big game but not buckshot (unless it meets approved non toxic shot requirements). Am I right or wrong?

Also, unlike some of the western WA pheasant release sites, you can't even have lead shot in your pocket birdwatching in June while on the listed wildlife areas. -I can just imagine being searched by WDFW Enforcement for a shotgun shell while wildlife viewing! -lol

Buddy had a single 00 lead shell last year at the bottom of his pack while duck hunting.  He knew that was not legal but also did not know it was there.  Got checked and they made a appointment for him to go in front of a federal judge.  Not good.

The only "police dept" that has jurisdiction in that area is the King County Sheriff's Office.

I realize this post has been dormant for quite some time, but for those that come searching for information I just took a drive through the Stillwater and Cherry Valley areas looking to hunt coyote and saw signs posted no centerfire/rimfire rifle/handgun and a restriction on lead shotshells. Without an email from WDFW I'd interpret that to include lead slugs.

Wow, you did resurrect an old post but I think you're right. So I interpret the signage that you posted as stating that all-copper slugs would indeed be legal if one was deer hunting and a shotshell that held 100% lead-free shot could be used for predator hunting. Anyone disagree?
