Huntin' Camp Grubbins-Show your cookin skills.
« on: September 29, 2011, 10:50:26 AM »
Anyone else document the food you cook in the great outdoors.
Lets see those photos of the gourmet meals you have cooked in the woods.
Here is a few of mine to start.
Crap I am getting excited for hunting camp.

Looks like great food to me.

I don't have much for pictures, but our favorite saying is that it's not elk camp without the truffle oil! We usually have boletes and chanterelles (when it's not dry like this year was), and I'm big with sauces. I make them ahead of time and put them in foodsaver bags to heat up in boiling water and serve over fettuccine or raviolis. We eat well in camp!

Official Huntin' Camp Inspector here -

I'm gonna need some some GPS co-ordinates and a time you ol' boys roll out of the sack and fire up the stove.

I'm packing my own fork, so no need to worry 'bout that.

When I first went to Hunting camp. I was told that a big part of weather or not I was invited back. Was my meal quality on my night to cook. I have always been invited back. This year I have been dabbling with the dutch oven and am going to do a chili and a mountan amn breakfast
