Albino coot!
« on: September 29, 2011, 03:15:41 PM »
Has anyone seen or killed a albino coot? I was out building blinds today and saw one along with a couple hundred black ones. This duck has become number 1 on my hitlist.

Is it legal to shoot an albino coot?  Every other albino animal is ilegal to shoot in this state.  I could careless, but you might want to check. :twocents:

Pictures or it didn't happen. (Oh and technically, a coot ain't a duck.  :P)

Hey QW, If you can get pictures of it, that would be cool to see.  There are albino coots out there, but they are few and far between.  It's hard for them to hide from the predators out there.  John

Every other albino animal is illegal to shoot in this state.

Someone hasn't kept up with the ever changing regulations.

That would probably be the only coot that I would ever have mounted.  I have scene one or two banded coot in my waterfowling career as well.
Cut em!
It's not the shells!  It's the shooter!
