Modern Firearm Deer Season in 3 Weeks - Choose Your Weapon

Bolt Action? Shotgun? Lever Action? AR-15? Pick your poison.
Sons are a heritage from the LORD, children a reward from him. Like arrows in the hands of a warrior are sons born in one's youth. Blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them. They will not be put to shame when they contend with their enemies in the gate. - Psalm 127:3-5

My daughter is using her new 700 SPS bolt action in .243 and I am using an old 12 gauge side by side.  If I get a wild hair I might pack around the old .250 Savage lever action.

I have hunted almost exclusively with bolt guns. I have spent a little time with an old Remington 740 autloader in .30-06, but mostly My Remington 721 in .270 and my Howa '06.

I was recently given my grandpa's Winchester Model 64 in .32 Special and would like to take a deer with it someday. It was his dad's and I would be the fourth generation to hunt with it. Perhaps if I draw a doe tag next year I will use it.

Only gun I have suitable for deer hunting is bolt action. .30-06...though technically my 9mm handgun is legal for hunting deer. :stirthepot:

Bolt gun, not sure what caliber yet. Probably take a couple and choose at the last minute.
