New Hunting Arrows........
«
on:
July 01, 2008, 06:06:04 PM »
Just got back from trying out my new Beman Realtree MFX arrows. Went with 400 spine to try it out, as I had been shooting 340. Shots one and two below. I think these will work fine!
Damn, going to be expensive though. First one for me.

I'm surprised you hit the target at all as blurry as your eye sight is
What kind of weight are you pulling and why did you jump up to the 400?

All I had was my cell phone! :chuckle:Sucks as a camera for sure.
Pulling about 66# at 28DL. Arrows are 27".
Been shooting Beman ICS 340 and Vapor Blackhawk 4000 (350 spine). Everything I read says I should shoot a 400 spine, so I decided to give it a try. Using 340 to get the extra weight.
The Realtree MFX are 9.6 gpi in the 400 spine and 10.3 in 340, I believe.

Thanks.
Does suck that it is the first two shots taken with brand new arrows. After this, I did not have the heart to shoot anymore.........

Good shooting. Came close to a robin hood but no cigar yet.

I shoot every day in my field, maybe 50-75 arrows a day all year for over 20 years, and I've never had a robin hood. Congrats on getting your hunting system figured out!

Congrats on your first robin hood, I've got a couple of those on the wall at home, I have a couple hanging in Archery shops in a couple spots in Montana as well. The first are always cool, then they just start looking expensive.

Yeah, the wife was not too happy when I came home and told her I needed to buy more arrows already. I had just bought these on Saturday before the meet and greet in Olympia. Yesterday was the first time shooting them.
It was cool, but the money part will get to me. That little stunt cost me $20!
