Alright guys, I know sharing spots is slightly frowned upon, but I need some help. Last year my group and I hunted the trail up near the Sewer plant in marysville. We saw people taking the slough in boats to get out in the open water holes. Last year we didn't gave a boat... Now we do. Is anyone willig to share the boat launch area and water trail taken to get there? Please help. I can't find anything to help on a map.

I’ve never used it but isn’t there a boat launch at Ebey Waterfront park in Marysville just downstream of the sewer lake?  Or launch at Langus park on Smith Island, just Google it for the location and water route.

I would just hunt next to the sewer plant it a lot of birds on it today.

I think the best place to put in at would be marrysville.  The best thing you could do is check it out before the season and make sure you pay attention to the tides.

hahaha, yeah. We've done well from the path before, our dog died less than a month ago and the trainee probably won't do well over there until he is a bit more mature.

There are no birds in that area! If you are going to go, learn the tides and realize during high water the tide is higher. There are numerous sneaker logs. A young dog can really get into a challenge out there and even a good dog at times. Scout it out before the season and afternoons during the season. A good GPS unit with mapping is also a good idea, especially in the dark. I always take one days food and water in case you have to wait for a 24 hour sit with the tide.

Thanks SG.   Yeah I agree, from the trail, that spot is ROUGH for most dogs. We have seen a decent amount of birds around there. It's hard to scout because I work nights and live an hour and some change from the spot. And if there aren't any birds.... where are they?

Turdsnapper pond  HAHAHA. Classic. I'm down in Maple Valley, but I REALLY want to use my boat. I'm trying to avoid big water for a while until I get more comfortable with my boat. I have plenty of walk-in spots, but my lazy ass wants to try some boat hunting on occasion this year.

That can be a really great spot if you dont have too many skyblasters in the vicinity, however its extremely easy to get stuck when the tide changes. I've seen prob a dozen or more people stuck there in the last 2 years. And its a looong wait when its raining and cold out or when you miss your tide before dark and have to spend the night.

Just wipe the toilet paper off their beaks before you bring em in the boat!!!

I dont think that there is duck between Arlington to Redmond that doesnt stop there and spend a few days lounging. Seriously it looks like the flyway as the year gets later.

use Google Earth, and follow the channel...I did this last year and was able to figure out where the launch was, and how to get to where I was going...We got a couple...

Exactly!  Those arent local birds there and redmond is only about five minutes away for a duck.  So dont think those things got piss dripping off them. Every bird stops through the crap ponds

thats right more birds stop off there than guys realize  besides i dont think the turd  ponds on the farms would be much better besides they are not eating it and they i-5 ponds are treatment ponds  not like whats in your septic tank good  grief
