OK......I will play the devil's advocate. Please back up your statement with some sort of facts. A, 1 sentence statement does not mean anything. Quote the e-mail.......something?      An official letter or staement from the WDFW?

You may apply using the application located at http://wdfw.wa.gov/licensing/cougar_mgmt_removal/ .  Applications must be postmarked, or received at the WDFW Enforcement Program Office, no later than 5:00 p.m., Oct. 15th, 2011.

I'm at work, she just called and read me the email.  She's been drawn 3 times already before, she's on their information list on this subject for that reason.  They sent her an email today saying that she has until October to apply for the cougar with dogs permit.  Idk if its the pilot hunt that she was drawn twice in, or the cougar removal permit system that was in affect before the pilot program that she drew the first year they started it, however I'm sure she isn't the only person to get this email, so watch this will be a hot topic on HW shortly.

This is for Hound hunters only. You must own dogs capable of catching a lion. They have had this in place for several years, most permits are a joke nowhere to hunt with dogs, It is mostly to appease some of the public complaints but does not accomplish much.

You should all refuse to assist. You know very well that WDFW abuses you. They won't allow you a season, even pursuit only. Yet they expect you to keep your dogs in shape and come running when they call. Stand together and defy them.

This is NOTHING like the past few years, this is a couple of tags, mostly in areas that were not open to hounds before, mostly private property that you can't run anyways because you have to get permission from about 20 different landowners.  This is the original Public Safety Cougar removal permits, trust me this is NOTHING to get excited about.

yeah that was a joke, she caught her a lion on both of her pilot hunts, but that first year removal permit was so unorganized, lots of gates with no keys, small properties that a lion would pass through and be gone in less than a day.  I'll stick to Oregons bobcats.
