Washington Dept. of Fish and Wildlife 600 Capitol Way North, Olympia, WA 98501-1091 Washington hunters interested in assisting the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW) with Cougar Management Removals (formerly public-safety cougar removals) have until Oct. 15th to apply for the special permits. You may apply using the application located at http://wdfw.wa.gov/licensing/cougar_mgmt_removal/ . Applications must be postmarked, or received at the WDFW Enforcement Program Office, no later than 5:00 p.m., Oct. 15th, 2011. If you have additional questions, please don't hestate. You should all refuse to assist. You know very well that WDFW abuses you. They won't allow you a season, even pursuit only. Yet they expect you to keep your dogs in shape and come running when they call. Stand together and defy them.
This is NOTHING like the past few years, this is a couple of tags, mostly in areas that were not open to hounds before, mostly private property that you can't run anyways because you have to get permission from about 20 different landowners. This is the original Public Safety Cougar removal permits, trust me this is NOTHING to get excited about.
