A weekend vacation in the San Juan Islands
« on: October 03, 2011, 11:14:17 PM »
My wife and I finally listened to my Uncle and his offering of the use of his cabin on Lopez Island over the weekend. :) He has been after me for the last 20 years to go out and stay in his cabin but we never wanted to impose on his gracious offer. Well, he finally out talked me and he got his wish. ;) :)

We had an awesome weekend seeing the sights on Lopez Island and a short visit to Friday Harbor on San Juan Island. Mainly we just stayed on Lopez. My poor camera got a really good work out. :) I took over 425 photos, so I'll be doing editing for quite some time to come! ;) :)

Here are a few of the photos I have edited so far:

Uncle Cliff's Cabin on Saturday night right at dark:

A couple of photos off the fantail of the ferry:

A hiking trail to Watmough Head beach:

A Tree on the top of a bluff at Watmough Head:

Just trees that have had a rough life but have seen Gorgeous Sunrises and sunsets:

Some Dead trees on the pathway to Shark Reef Park:

And some wildlife that we got to see and enjoy while we were at Shark Reef Park:

A Spectacular Sunset at Fisherman's Cove:

A Foggy Sunday Morning just after daylight:

On a whim, I thought that I would take a quick peek in the photography section. This post really makes me glad that I did. Those pictures are great!
