Moe than likely you will find cows and calves that have been killed by wolves. I found 2 in mid september. Hopefully there is snow so you can see just how many wolves or should I say coyotes  are in the area now  :bash:

Heavyhauler, pretty new on here. but Im packing out the ridge from teepee sat aft. camping by one of the springs past Dunlop spr. have 1 horse 1 mule. stop by if you are in the area. it would be nice to meet some guys on here. I can help pack out game. I too love a challenge (glutten for punishment and misery) Rex

Water availability is an issue in some areas. Deer are few and far between but it's a fun place. Good luck and have fun!

got back yesterday. we didnt see any legal bucks but, the first thing i saw was a pretty good(290-300)6x6 bull, then ryan spotted a monster bull. we called him the 380 bull, but who knows until you measure him.i think anyone whose name isnt agnew would have shot him. the bulls were still bugling their guts out. i cant believe how late they were rutting.  disappointed in the deer hunt, but hard to complain about seeing good or great bulls daily.  saw some guides checking out that area, so if a whopper comes out of the wenaha i think this bull had enough character i could identify it.

also ran into my cousins who are from south of olympia over in the blues. none of us knew the others were going to be there. none of us had been right in that area. weird for sure
