Chanterelle's??
« on: October 04, 2011, 06:31:44 PM »
Was thinking about taking the family mushroom picking this weekend. Its been a few weeks sense i have been out. Wondering how the mushrooms were looking this year. I only seen a few out archery elk, but it wasnt a prime spot for chanterelle's.

Are you staying close to home or heading west? I've got a spot in Elma and one in North River I would be willing to give up.

(chanterelle) just sayin'... :chuckle:

If one of those spots is where you shot that buck last year then i'll be glad to here where some mushrooms are. We are planning on heading up toward ashford, but other spots always helps.

Right now is prime time. We picked enough to fill a couple game bags this past weekend.

Anybody know of a starter location near marysville?  Any good books where I can learn some stuff on wild mushrooms?  PM me if needed and thanks in advance.

They are doing great in the 200-500 foot range. Found quite a few a week ago and the rain/warm temps should have them growing pretty much everywhere right now.
