Has anyone else seen the billie goat?
« on: October 11, 2011, 11:17:42 PM »
I drew eastern watershed this year. While scouting 2 weeks ago, my hunting partner an I spotted a mountain goat on the westside of the blues. Never saw one in the blues before.

Its always cool seeing them in places you wouldn't suspect...

My dad was lion hunting one winter in the Snoqualmie tree farm... the dogs had a cat treed (he thought) and he went in.. they were in the forest, but there were some huge slabs of rock around and as he moved around one to "see" the lion, he comes face to face with  a great Billy... the dogs had this billy bayed up on a rock... never really had the chance before that, or need I guess, to break them off goats! he got some great pics, but they are all hard copy film pics, I dont have any.

Firefighter, I'm almost positive that is the same spot I saw him. Looks like he found a home. Glad you got a pic, now people won't think that guy saw a sheep.

Thanks BLUEBULLS for not disclosing the exact location of the 3 goats.  Oregon has been turning some loose for awhile now and they seem to drift to where they are happy.  The 3 is the biggest number we have seen with some other singles spotted.
