The tribe has decimated the Skokomish valley elk population. There are still some in there, not any where near the numbers of 10 years ago.

   Its been more than 10 years, you should have seen the herd 25 years ago. there were a few good ones  :bash:

the hood canal NO!!!!!! there are a few herds but they stay on private land....i see them just past the Little Creek Casino when heading west  but the drainages to the Skok,Wynoochee, Satsop yes there a few but nothing to get excited about.I live in Shelton we have some nice blacktail but elk are pretty much a waste of time......Head to St.Helens or Mt. Rainer instead of wasting time hunting the canal for elk...
