Here's mine from Oct. 29th at about 8:15. Thanks AKBOwman for showing this spot the week before.

Pics turned out great. Glad you got another good one back there but it's not like you needed the help Mr. 3 in 3 yrs!
Awesome buck and congrats I'll let you know how the late archery thing goes.

That area is known for big buck's, but it's a lot of work to get them out. ;)

Nice deer BH45! That is a great pic there next to the big rub.

"But I have been missing the rut in my area the last few years do to I believe climate change...So maybe they best adjust the season to allow for it"

Couldnt agree more in my area but next year i am just going to purchase a rifle tag and hunt with my bow which I really should have done this year.

Last year in parts of Wakiakum and Pacific Counties the BT's never rutted until late archery season which was the first time I have ever seen them rut that late. I couple rifle hunters (archery elk) I spoke with said the rut typically starts the last week of October and goes really hard through the second week of November tapering off into the third week which coincides with the evidence from my area (King County). I think they're still pretty slow over here though but than again I've been waiting for the rifle season to end to scout again and havent been out. Anyhow, next year its rifle season with my bow for me, I feel it still gives you plenty of time to hunt just have to make sure to work to get away from everyone.
yeah I know ...I could of smoked this buck with my bow and thats why I went rifle this year because I have chased these bucks in late Nov . for a couple years now and only jumped them and watch them run off ..i have taken my share of animals with my bow but 20+ plus years of bowhunting it sure felt good to squeeze the trigger on a buck again...NOW WHAT DO I do next year because this is not the buck I am after????? But maybe my son will get him come late bow season ...you bet your butt we will be on his tail come Late bow season  :yeah:

when you find horning like this in late October you best keep hunting that area because he is definately marking his territory...everyday I went in there they had made new rubs and I went in the morning , in the afternoon and evening trying to intercept one of them and after all those days of pounding it , it finally happened on the last day .....persistances always kills but I did doubt that comment until 12:15 of the last day ....blacktail are like whitetails when it comes to the rut and they only make mistakes when they are in the rut ...big blacktails are far from being dumb ..thats why I love to hunt them ...and these bucks have rubbed the same trees they rubbed last year so I knew this was where I was going to get one ...here are a few rubs they made in the last week and when I killed him he was surrounded by at least 20 or more rubs which makes me believe this was the spot he is doing most of his breeding !

Good stuff!!!   Gotta love all the BT fanatics here.  I had a monster 3x2 cross the road (four lanes of traffic) this morning at 8:30, seeking does.  I always keep my video camera on the front seat in Oct/Nov for moments like this.  I got a bit of crappy footage of him but I was driving and the sun was blasting through the windshield.

Can't wait for 11/17!

This is mine from Oct 30, 2010. I've been in firefights at close distances, and let me tell you I'm as calm as the water in the pond. When I saw this big boy come out I was shaking so bad I thought I was having a convulsion. He is ready for pickup this friday after a year in the taxedermists shop....He scored 149 & 3/8.
