Here's mine from Oct. 29th at about 8:15. Thanks AKBOwman for showing this spot the week before.
Nice deer BH45! That is a great pic there next to the big rub."But I have been missing the rut in my area the last few years do to I believe climate change...So maybe they best adjust the season to allow for it"Couldnt agree more in my area but next year i am just going to purchase a rifle tag and hunt with my bow which I really should have done this year.Last year in parts of Wakiakum and Pacific Counties the BT's never rutted until late archery season which was the first time I have ever seen them rut that late. I couple rifle hunters (archery elk) I spoke with said the rut typically starts the last week of October and goes really hard through the second week of November tapering off into the third week which coincides with the evidence from my area (King County). I think they're still pretty slow over here though but than again I've been waiting for the rifle season to end to scout again and havent been out. Anyhow, next year its rifle season with my bow for me, I feel it still gives you plenty of time to hunt just have to make sure to work to get away from everyone.
This is mine from Oct 30, 2010. I've been in firefights at close distances, and let me tell you I'm as calm as the water in the pond. When I saw this big boy come out I was shaking so bad I thought I was having a convulsion. He is ready for pickup this friday after a year in the taxedermists shop....He scored 149 & 3/8.
