The Mrs mentioned to me this morning on the way out the door, "it's elk kabobs for dinner tonight."   :EAT:

I try to more than once a week, usually grind up a lot even some steak cuts, just because we use a lot of ground meat. Why cut it into something that you're not going to use. In fact I'm out of Elk breakfast sausage so I'm thinking of grinding up a few roast to make more.

Several times a week.
Mostly burger in some sort of dish, but we also make and eat a buch of sausage. Running low on steaks but we do have a lot of burger.

this week:

Idaho mule deer roast
smoked salmon
cougar backstraps

Bearpaw,  How are those cat straps?  Is there any other meat to compare to?  I have never tried it.  If I ever kill one I will eat it as that's how I was brought up but a little hesitant

Practically everyday.  Now it might just be a couple pieces of jerky, a pepperoni stick, slice of salami, etc.  but yes, almost every day.  As far as full meals go, probably  6+ times a week.  All the burger and most of the sausage we consume is made from some kind of critter.

Jesus Christ that would be a tragedy.  I can honestly say I have not run out of venison since 1987.
