Well 358 rounds thru it and so far no troubles at all. My scores are bouncing up & down anywhere from 13-18 and I havent settled on a set of chokes I like yet. Mostly been using my IC chokes and for some reason I seem to do better with the flush chokes that came with vs the ported Pro Factors I bought. Still have a few pairs of TruLock and Briley extended chokes in IC, M, & IM that I havent even used yet. I'll try those weds night. One thing I want to fix on the gun is the forearm peice on the stock has a tiny bit of wiggle at the front part to the barrel so I going to put a thin piece of foam under it to tighten it up.

Nice video; trap #3 at Kenmore.  I like an IM for the 16y trap with 1oz of #8.

Try the 5-stand sometime, it’s a hoot.

Thanks CP - yeah I have tried 5 stand 6-8 times total. I really like it, I think its way more fun than straight trap but right now I am focusing most of my time on trap to learn to shoot and learn this gun. Then I will try & improve the 5 stand too.

Glad you're liking it now.  I've had one for three or four years now and have loved it since new.  Nope, not a $2k weapon but shoots real nice....light, fast, and dead-nuts accurate  Never had any of the "complaints" a lot of the "experts" whine about.  I've dusted many, many clays, pheasant, and grouse with it...definately worth the ~$400 my wife paid back then.  As long as I'm not hunting the saltmarsh, it's my shotgun of choice these days.

Boggles my mind that people bash Mossberg so much.  My saltmarsh shotgun is a Mossberg 500 that I bought for ~$200 almost 20 years ago.  It's been my consistant meatstick for a long time.  It's killed a LOT of ducks, geese, pheasants, grouse, doves, and even slugged a deer.  I've been swimming with it, dropped it, bushwacked with it, used it as a boat oar, and even hobbled along with it as a cane when I blew my ankle in the marsh.  Even after all that it's still a great weapon that puts meat on the table.  Not too many gas ejection inertia driven super whama-dine 2000 $1200 shotguns could hold up to the use this one has seen.

It ain't the gun, it's the shooter that makes the shot....Mossberg makes a fine weapon in my humble opinion.
