Shots fired in wolf war...by a bowhunter

Shots fired in wolf war by Idaho archer

Environmentalist arguments that wolves do not pose a threat to humans took another hit when bowhunter Rene Anderson took what she is convinced was a defensive action and fatally shot a wolf that had moved aggressively to within ten feet of her on a remote ridge near Headquarters, Idaho.

I guess I can't understand why someone would be upset when  she killed it in self defense.  What is this world coming to when animals become more important than human lives.  Probably the same people that believe in abortion.

I'll never figure them out....save a whale, but kill a baby.    Save a wolf, kill hundreds of fawns.   GOOD FOR HER.   Way to pick a spot and ram it home!

Not entirely true.  I believe in abortion.  I also believe in the proper management of wolves to include killing them to keep their numbers in check

This is about wolves. Keep it being about wolves and don't pit us against each other with unrelated, polarized topics like abortion. We need to stand united because there's a whole group of organized, committed people united against us in this fight. Please consider that on your future posts.

hope you don't mind Dave but sent your story over to the wolf plan commissioners and stated the wolves are already starting to stalk humans for prey in Idaho how long until it is the same in WA.

i had to protect myself from a young tom when i first got stationed back at lewis at 2nd bat, shot the cat at 5ft, i am glad my son wasnt put in that situation and it makes it tough because i dont let him go off on his own and he is 16, but i have a feeling wolves will be alot worse because theu are alot more brasin and hunt in packs

Ohhhhhh, THAT explains why the WDFW enforcement division's SWAT team was waiting for me when I got home this afternoon.
