wolf not welcome
« on: October 07, 2011, 01:55:10 PM »
no one will ever know if i see a wolf and seeing how i work every day in the woods sooner or later i will cross pathes with one and it won't have a chance, the only good wolf is a dead wolf, thats my thought on em.   :bfg:

I believe there to many on this site that are law abiding citizens that share this same sentiment.  Since I am an administrator, and represent this site I feel I should not share my personal opinion on this.  My job is to make sure this post stays civil.   Lines are being drawn even amongst our own ranks.

Intent of illegal activities should not be publicly stated. I feel strongly about and against the wolf introduction into our state, but to give our opponents ammunition to use against us is foolhardy. To give evidence of premeditation to LE of your actions is just plain stupid. Now, even if you do shoot one in self defense, no one will ever believe that's why you did it.

Exactly.

We are of course all entitled to our own opinions on the matter, but I would like to think that as a group we are all above poaching as a means to an end.  Stating your intent to do so is in fact drawing a line in the sand, and I'm afraid I can't join you on this one

:yeah: bonehead i feel as strongly as you do and so do many others, i honestly believe that peoples safety, peoples lively hood, i,e farms and what not, deer , elk, sheep, goats, moose, and the woodland caribou, oh and the family pet should come before a wolf that was eliminated for a reason. but i could never openly discuss what i will or could do if put in this situation, i can tell you this though that self defense for any humane or farm animal if i know them or not will be my first priority

Maybe I'm missing something here, but I can't find it in his post where he is asking for opinions. He spoke his mind. Let it go.

That's what a forum is all about, opinions and differences.

Isn't this an internet forum where people post topics they want to discuss with each other  :dunno:  That's the beauty of the internet - you don't have to ask for an opinion to get one  :chuckle:

Just looking out for our own 3nails.  There is no ill intent in our responses.

I have to admit, a post saying I love wolves might be more interesting or provoke some interesting conversations.....
