Get ready for a pumpkin patch as it gets hit hard. Pressure sure sucks in there now. I still hunt it but have been looking for greener pastures.

You can some what pattern a few of the local bucks in the area if you spend some time scouting but once opening day hits everything gets crazy, the farther away you get from people the better off you'll be. Or let others chase the deer to you. Some of the lower gates get hit pretty hard.

I spend time behind those gates every year. Less and less the last two or so years. There is a good deer population but they won't be out in the cuts once people are everywhere.

Andddd i better stop before I give out all the good info :P

I hunted modern there last year, it was crazy.  Did see a couple yearling spikes but that was it.  Early archery this year was no where near as bad, but still saw people a couple of times.  The only place I saw any large quantities of sign I later realize was closed.  Cut up a clear cut on the way in and bypassed an open logging gate without realizing it until on my way back out.  If I understand the rules correctly, any open gate, makes it closed to hunting.  Even if the open gate is past a closed gate on the road.

I'm sick and tired of all of your sarcasim!! This is a PUBLIC FORUM and who gives a *censored* about what anything says.... WHAT MATTERS MOST IS HOW YOU HUNT AND IF YOU GET OUT OF YOUR TRUCK AND WALK!! So keep your  :twocents: to yourself!!
