Ufortunately I havent had the Kuiu loaded over 50lbs this season yet so I cant give ya an update about hauling 100+lb loads yet.  It was very very squeky the first day out, so annoying but I fixed that.  If you guys wanna look at it some time let me know...

Definitely want to take a look at it when I get a chance. Go shoot a nice deer or bear so you can let us know how it hauls. Definitely more interested in Kuiu than the Mystery Ranch package only due to the weight of the pack.

You send send a link to this thread to Sitka to see what they say.  It would be worth a try.

I would love to take a look at it James!  I read a report from a someone packing out meat, one with the Kuiu pack and one with a Mystery Ranch, said the Mystery Ranch was better, but like Shane said, I am intrested in Kuiu because of the weight.

I might do that, along with an email.

Your video was sweet. Congrats to both of you. Keep on filming your hunts. I hope to have some similar commentary vids coming too.

Sitka emailed me back, said they will exchange the pack for a new one even though I bought it used, and its four years old, great customer service!  Got my bear skull back as well. Blew out the back of the skull, no wonder it rolled  :chuckle:

Wholy cow you got the skull back already? That was really fast.

I would be interested in hearing how the Kuiu does compared to a Mystery Ranch as well. I've heard a lot of good things about the MR packs but the weight of the pack is one reason I want to swap something else out for my eberlestock, not to mention it (this is an X1) doesn't handle a heavy load worth a darn.
