input on 20 gauge
« on: October 09, 2011, 05:46:47 PM »
I am looking for a cheap to fairly cheap 20 gauge semi auto to shoot some of my shells up that I have. I previously had a charles daly youth 20 gauge but outgrew that one. Any suggestions for a new one? thanks.

check out the sa-08 from weatherby, i fondled one at sportsmans a little while back and it felt great and was only like 450 ive read some good reviews of the gun and it seems like it would be a shooter. only problem with it is has two gas valve deals one for heavy loads one for light loads. i would have bought it if i didnt have an unforeseen school bill come up.

Stoger makes a good shotgun for the money and the lil 20 might become your favorite shooter.

Mossberg also makes a decent 20 in SA, I have the 930 12g and it has been flawless so far, only put about 50 rounds through it so far, but is has not even hickuped.
Never, ever let Creed hold you baby, it will ruin it and you will have to get another.

I have a charles-daly semi-auto field grade in 20 gauge that I got at Wally Mart for $299. It is my favorite shotgun now. Nice and light and still knocks 'em out of the air.

I am buying a couple guns from a co-worker and one is a traditions semi-auto 20 guage that is brand new.  I don't know anything about it and its price in the package is under 200.  real light and seems to work real well.  haven't really had a chance to try it out cause I still have to pay him some more before I take ownership :o  but what I could find on the gun was all pretty good reviews.  When I get it I might be interested in parting with it if you haven't found something.  but it will be a month or so.  My gun budget is dismal to non-existent, he offered payments and I have an addiction  :chuckle:
