Custer Sportsmens Club- Archery Range Wheel Chair Access

Archers...
A big thanks goes out to Richard Kessler, the WDFW area Manager at Intalco, Travis H. and Kevin J. for all of the hard work over this weekend. With the few volunteers we had we still managed to get a ton of stuff done!
The ADA Wheelchair Access for the Sight in Range has been completed and it looks great! Richard, Kevin and myself worked hard to make this project a great success! The pictures don't show how much preparation went into the job. We cut the sod away, laid weed blocker cloth and super packed the small gravel to accommodate wheelchairs. The surface ended up looking like asphalt.
Along the back of the walk-through course Travis concentrated on the access road that divides the first dozen targets from 14 - 19. He used his tractor to smooth the roadway and added 50 Yards of gravel. This area has been one of the muddiest messes every year, but now there are culverts installed and gravel added. We even ran the 2500# roller machine along the gravel and packed it down. This will make the access way better for all .
We will be doing a lot more over the winter, we have a large treated lumber supply for building walkways and rebuilding the "tree house" stored at the WDFW site at Lake Terrell. If anybody has woodworking experience or just wants to help out, just PM me anytime. We will have ongoing projects all winter.
Thanks
-Oscar

Glad to hear you making improvements!  Hard work is always appreciated even if its not said.
In archery we have something like the way of the superior man. When the archer misses the center of the target, he turns round and seeks for the cause of his failure in himself.
