SVTR Bear from today.
« on: October 09, 2011, 11:36:59 PM »
Seylor Valley Trash Runners caught this bear today. Pretty nice bear definitely one of our bigger bears. We have caught 4 big bears but this is probably the biggest bear this year seem to be in the 400's but I wasn't able to get him to the scale I use. He seemed to about the size of our 465 lb er from last year. We let him out of the tree and ran him twice but wouldn't come out again.I don't think he liked the dogs right on him. I shot him out of the tree with a .243 from at least 150 yards away, shot him out when we couldn't get him to come down to chase again. One shot would of done it but I put another one in because when they come out I want them to be dead so the dogs don't get hurt. Going to get rug prices tommorrow. When we had him strechted on the ground at home he measured 6'10" from nose to tail. What do you think it would be to get him rugged Michelle_Nelson

That is a Pig of a Bear.  That is the largest one I have seen harvested this year.

I charge $165 per L/F to rug a Black Bear.  From the pictures that guy should square off real nice and make an excellent rug.

Would that put it around 1155 to get it rugged then, or did I do something wrong with my math.

Did I miss something?  Dogs?  Bears?  Must not be from this state..   :dunno: :dunno: :dunno:
By my honorable conduct as a hunter let me give a good example and teach new hunters principles of honor, so that each new generation can show respect for their god, other hunters and the animals, and enjoy the dignity of the hunt.

Calling an illegal alien an 'undocumented immigrant' is like calling a drug dealer an 'unlicensed pharmacist'.

I am guessing colvulle tribal member. Since he is from inchelium.

That is a masher bear! Great job. Man how I want to go along on a hound hunt sometime. Sounds like a blast.

I bet that is a hoot. I love watching bird dogs work and think hound hunting is awesome. Great job again. You should post up some pics of.the dogs.
