Very excited and a little jealous of my wife
« on: October 10, 2011, 09:42:14 PM »
I'm hunting a new area this year and promised my wife I'd help her get into some bucks in my normal hunting spot. I checked my cam this weekend and there is a HOG mule deer coming in almost every day. It's private land with no pressure at all. He is old (8-9) with a true main frame 5 on both sides. Double eye guard on one side with 2 kickers off one of his fronts. Looking at his picture next to my father in laws gross 205" he is defiantly over 200". I'm so excited for her to have a shot at him for her first buck but I'm jealous as hell. I'll probably never have a shot at such an amazing animal. My only chance is if she takes one of the other bucks coming in. I'll have to bail on my father son hunt and spend every minute camped out on my normal spot. This guy is haunting me. I have 30 pictures of him and can't get him out of my head. Sorry to be a tease but I promised not to jinx her and post his mug shot until after he's tagged or seasons over. Just had to share my pain.

I promised her I wouldn't post his picture until he has a tag is his ear or the seasons over. She doesn't want it jinxed. I don't think I've ever seen a mulie with 5 main frame points. His fronts and rears fork like a normal 4pt but he has a full tine between the front and rear on both sides.

Proof that the hard work before the season pays off. I wonder what size deer I'd have to promise my wife to get her out in the field with me, heh...

You just jinxed yourself for making this thread with no pics.  Maybe next year.  :chuckle:
