Scouting for deer = 1st bear
« on: October 10, 2011, 09:28:37 PM »
Went up in to the Hancock bridge camp gate Saturday morning to scout for deer, on our way down form the 13 about 6 miles from the gate came around the corner and a bear was in the road. Jumped out of the truck and seen him bail off the road and drop down in a clearing next to the road, threw a couple shells in and ran over to where he went in at and seen him stop about 75 yards away. I shot and missed  :bash: He ran another 25 yards stood on a log and looked back shot him right behind the left shoulder with my 300 WSM and he was done dropped in his tracks and didn't move. He was about 120 pounds.

Good job!
The reason there are so many Ruger upgrades is because they're necessary.

He's just a little one but hey, a bonus bear while scouting for deer is pretty good. Nicely done.

Those smaller bears are great for packing when they're way back in there. ;)

Any yogi or boo boo is a good one.. congrats on filling the first tag...
By my honorable conduct as a hunter let me give a good example and teach new hunters principles of honor, so that each new generation can show respect for their god, other hunters and the animals, and enjoy the dignity of the hunt.

Calling an illegal alien an 'undocumented immigrant' is like calling a drug dealer an 'unlicensed pharmacist'.
