Saw a guy with a red blinking jig once, cleaned up on the squid while everyone else just picked at them.

I went fishing for squid once about ten years ago and had a blast. I would like to go again and take the boy where is a good spot to go around tacoma.
Remember that buck is climbing that Mt. every day!

My brother has been getting a good little bit over in Bremerton somewhere.  I never asked what dock or exactly where he is fishing.  But doing really good for it being this early.  I might have to try my luck soon....well after deer season at least.

Sounds like normal.  Bremerton gets them in numbers first this early, they dont make it to Tacoma area until early Nov in good numbers.

When I lived "up north" we used to just slay them off the DesMoines Pier, seems like we would walk down after visiting the haunted house there at the Senior Center, and limit out whenever we went until after thanksgiving.

Stillicum ferry dock is a good place.  Watch for the Asians.  They know when the squid are there.

Never have tried squidding but it looks like fun...reminds me of smelting

Are there any hot squidding areas in the Everett area? Anybody fish the North Sound that wouldn't mind a newbie tagging along for an evening?

Don't know about everett, but Edmonds is good. I've mainly fished on the grain pier in Seattle, I think 86?
