Found a spent pistol brass today that has 42  E  C stamped on the base.  Is that a .42 caliber?? Never heard of it.  Any input??? :o

I think it means : made in 1942 "42"
      "E C"  means : Evansville Chrysler

I just googled it, so I don't know if it's right or wrong. Also states it's a 45 caliber.
