I do not think all deer are poached!!!!

If you got a text picture of this buck last year on October 3 and the title said Desert Unit buck what woud you think? The a year later you see a topic called "My sons desert A tag" and the guy is asking for desert pictures. Johnny posts this buck again and says here is a desert permit buck my buddy killed last year. I ask are you sure its desert. He says Positive. Well I go back again, hmmm buck was shot October 3. Desert Muzz hunt starts October 16. Ity sounded pretty clear cut to me it was a desert buck shot before season was open.  :dunno:

Why am I catching crap for this. No one else sees a flag???? Ok so maybe he meant desert type area (dunes and sage outside of area 290) but that is no way how it came across both times.

I never said  he was a poacher. I was just looking for an explanation.

If your going to post a buck for the public to see you should make sure that you get it right. No one calles the area around the desert unit the desert. Come on thats just asking for trouble. "He dude I shot a desert buck the other day. But not really in the Desert just in the desert around the desert"  :bash:

do you tell everyone where you kill your animals? i dont, as a matter of fact i tell them whatever pops into my head at the moment. i dont check to see if the unit is open before i tell someone where it "came" from. i dont think even a poacher would be stupid enough to post pics of a huge poached deer on a popular internet website.

even IF it was poached what good does bitching and complaining do about it a year later?

Officer: "sir did you shoot that deer in the desert unit?"

Hunter: "nope"

Officer: "are you positive?"

Hunter: "yep"

officer: "well since its been a year i guess we really cant prove either way where this deer was shot so have a nice day."

 :beatdeadhorse:  :police:

i think the dude just got a very nice deer and it sounds like he worked for it.

This statement defenatly falls under the " Sissy " category. The only one's I have heard throwing the "Hater" word around. Were girls dressed in Tia dye, stinking of what they call a natural weed, wearing peace symbols and giving me the finger for the dead buck I had in the back of the truck in Levenworth WA.

I love the way people get attacked for showing a pic of an animal on this site, I doubt I will ever post one.

Biggerhammer, get a therapist, you are way too hung up on your sissy issue.

Haha ok your right. Next time someone asks me where I shot my buck my default will be the desert unit. Smart Move. Especailly since there are about 20 tags given out and limited seasons. Come to think of it, the desert unit should be the first place that pops in your head to tell people where you shot a buck. How silly am I.

Second. They can convict a year later. I know one way that would be very easy. I wil not disclose how on a public forum becaue I do not want poachers to figure it out. Its an easy catch though trust me. Another way is his buddy who is openly discussing it a year later thinking its now ok. Johnny stated pretty clearly that he was POSITIVE it was the Desert. And I am positive i was not open yet.

Sorry you do not give a rats a$$ about poaching but I my freind do!!! I care that I hunt my a$$ off all year for a trophy and some sleaz balls poach them when ever they want. I have seen it happen around here to monster bucks. I know of 200" + bucks that have been plucked from the unit. Getting proof is not easy but that doesnt mean I wont try. How does it feel to know that you put in a unit for 15 years and never draw, then when you do you find out that there are locals that have ben killing them and not waiting. Now you get a crack at them and good luck, they are all dead!!

I never called the guy a poacher for the record. I only asked Johnny a few questions. The answers were the same as what I got from someone else last year. Enough to concern me.

first if an officer were to come to my house and want me to prove where i took the animal i would have no problem doing so as i am not a poacher and i have nothing to hide.

second who ever said i didnt give a rats ass about poaching? i surely didnt, i think they are the lowest form of scum on earth. :hello:

well it seems as if this picture got around quite a bit. there are  people on both threads saying it was NOT killed in the desert unit. someone could have easily changed the title on the picture message you recieved.

btw i would love to hear how they could catch a poacher this long after the fact. pm me if i didnt rub you the wrong way too much...

You just dont get it do you. READ.

I took it as a deer killed in the desert...If you think it can be proven that there was poaching here then turn it in! You already said you knew some Secret Squirrel way to prove it! What point is there in hassling people over the pic at this point? If I was sure that someone had poached that deer I would turn it in, if you are sure...you should.

I think it was a legitimate question myself.     I'd have thought the same damn thing Wastickslinger.  As for telling lies about where you shot your buck...I NEVER DO.  I will flat tell you I won't tell you, sorry.  BUT lieing is a pet pieve of mine I guess.  I personally like straight shooters.

You have to shoot something first this year, worthy of not posting. :chuckle: :chuckle: :chuckle:
