Got up there last weekend and did some scouting. Saw a pack of three wolves. So much for a successful year..  :bash:

Make sure you file a report. Were you able to take any pictures or do you have coordinates you can give to WDFW? Please give your info to Bearpaw via PM. sorry about your area.

My brother and I saw three wolves in the Chiwawa unit back in about 1991. Probably not the same ones though.  :chuckle:   But yeah, they've been in there for quite a while, twenty years at least. Who knows, they may have never been totally eradicated from the north Cascades, that would be my guess. The Forest Service had signs up at the same time we saw the wolves asking people to notify them of any wolf sightings. So they knew they were there.

Got no pictures or anything were gone to fast. My family has been seeing them over here for 20+ years also. Talked to wardens before but say they must have just been coyotes because there's no wolves there. Yada yada yada. Just like there's no moose over there right?  :chuckle:

Can you provide the GMU number, date seen, and an approximate location, I will add your info to the wolf tally.  FYI - There are people who are watching our tally, it's good for us to provide as much info as possible on wolf locations. THANKS

Thanks for the info, Bigbuck. I started another thread about the info that helps WDFW pinpoint new packs and areas> http://hunting-washington.com/smf/index.php/topic,85224.0.html

Dale, please fill in anything missed on it.
