This morning we left and went to the top and saw 10 Bulls and two cows. We called in a few bulls. It was awesome! I think i could love moose hunting almost as much as I love Elk Hunting. We had cow moose moaning and calling and bulls running to them. It was very exciting. We are going back out tomorrow to get some more pics and video hopefully. I have many people to thank when I post my pics!. Right now we are beat and heading for bed. We did see a herd of 12 Elk on the way up which was also very cool to see. Night all!  More tomorrow.

Regards,

Brianb231

Little bigger than the average deer when you go to gut them huh.   Hard to explain that to someone until they walk up onto their first moose.   Congrats, I knew it was only a matter of time.

Today we went out and were searching for a Whitetail and some more Moose footage. We got up fairly high and hit a skid road and we met a Bull moose in the middle of the skid that thought we should move and not him. So we had a little stand off for about 10 min until he finally conceded. He was at about 20 yards. Got some good footage I think. The rest of the morning was pretty uneventful. We saw 4 moose total this morning.

We are planning on leaving in the morning and I will post some photos when I get home.

I will give you my last update tomorrow.

See ya,

Brianb231

Nice job dropping that beautiful cow. She's a pig.

I hunted moose in NH, unsuccessfully. But while I was scouting, I called a super-mature bull in to about 5 yards. Huge animal, probably 1200 lbs or so with fully extended paddles. It was one of the most exciting experiences of my hunting. Easy to call, too. When it came time for the 3-day hunt, it rained so hard for the entire three days that you couldn't see 50 yards. Tough hunt.
