Anybody buy reloaded ammo?
« on: October 15, 2011, 10:00:59 PM »
Does anybody buy reloaded ammo? I've heard there a few reputable companies out there. I live in Western WA around Tacoma and have recently gotten back into target shooting. It would be nice to save some money on ammo, being that it just ends up in a target lol. I'd be open to buying it online too. Any suggestions?

I've had really good luck with Black Hills .223 remanufactered ammmo, its the stuff in the  blue box.  Its pretty much all I shoot out of my AR, and its accurate enough to drill praire dogs at 400 yards.  Black Hills uses Lake City brass, and you can find just about every bullet weight and manufacturer you need.

Black Hills blue box, HSM, BVAC....I shoot a ton of the stuff.
I think it's great quality.
Try Surplus Ammo in Lakewood.

BVAC ammo has been good to me. Mostly I buy the 1000rd loose packs of 9mm because it comes out to cheaper than I can reload.. I save the brass for later when I cant buy loaded ammo cheaper.

I use to buy some 44 mag reloads from a chief petty-officer on board. I think he was experimenting with my hand or something. The casings would swell up so much that I needed to remove the cylinder and pound out the brass.  >:( I told him about it. He seemed dumbfounded. Never again for me.
times before with just leather, wool and cotton.
