No tag stew for me!! Before and after shots
« on: October 16, 2011, 04:59:39 PM »
So I had scouted this area out for the last few months using trail cams.  In the off season I would say I had about 6 different bucks come by my trail cam pic.  There was one big boy I had my sights set on.  Well opening day comes around and everything was going perfect..........Im in my spot before daylight waiting.  Daylight comes and about 20 minutes later this buck, which i thought at the time was a doe pops up from being bedded down.  Im following her (him) with my binos as she (he) heads up the hill from me not knowing i was there.  She (he) is almost to the top when I decide to whistle and she (he) turns to look at me.  With the sun shining right at her (him) I notice these two little nubs on top. With me being a meat hunter, I let the .308 do its work.  Deer Down!!!!!  I head up and sure enough hes about the size of a german shepard, easy packing and gonna be great eating.  Good luck guys
