Wow, that was a great trip for you and the girls.  Congratulations to her.  Like you said, he envy of all the boys now.  She has got dad's interest now with hunting.

I'm thoroughly impressed and a little jealous. I want a moose tag!  :chuckle: Really though, congrats to all of you.

Work to hunt, great job on your two hunts. You have to be very proud of your daughter. What a great way to be with family. My son and I were on the Starr road the morning you got your cow. Thanks for the lift. On the 4Th of October, I got my Bull off of Weller road. The Weller road access is in Idaho. We were given info on this access via the security company for Inland Empire Paper Company. We drove into the area and had an easy walk into Washington. According to my GPS we were 120 feet in Washington when my bull walked up to me. We had purchased three different types of cow in estrus scents and had sprayed them on the soles of our boots.  I was sitting down on the side of the ditched out road and the bull walked up to me from the same road we had just walked in on.  Moose down. I contacted the security guy and he gave us permission to use my ATV to get the moose out as long as we didn't knock over any trees. We didn't damage any trees. We got the moose out late. The gate guy said that there was a local guy about 2 miles away who butchers on the side. We went there and he processed the meat. He also made smoked sausage, pepper sticks, bratwurst and jerky. He did a great job. We returned home while he processed the meat. We returned on the 19Th. On the morning of the 20Th my son got his bull a little further down the same ditched out road. We were very fortunate to have been chosen on a group hunt. I have been applying about 15 years and my son for 3 years. On the Idaho side we saw a limping big bull with a cow. We now have two freezers full and still haven't processed the second bull. Guess I'll be buying another. Guess elk hunting is out this fall. Had a great time.
